Green Dragon Farmers Market!

Black Friday from early morn until late evening. The forecast is beautiful for Friday, and besides, we have heat, which allows us to be open every Friday all winter.

True Bayberry Candles!

“A bayberry candle burned to the socket,
brings health to the home
and wealth to the pocket.”

We now have True Bayberry Candles at all the markets.

These rare candles are traditionally burned on Christmas Eve or New Years Eve. Since Colonial Times, it is believed that peace, prosperity, and happiness will be yours for the coming year by burning a bayberry candle completely at one setting. Light your bayberry candle in the morning and allow it to burn down to the socket of your candle holder. May the coming year be a blessed one.

Bayberry wax actually comes from the berries of the bayberry plant that naturally grows in New England and in the Southeast. Picked each autumn, these tiny berries are placed into a pot of boiling water. The berries sink to the bottom, but the wax coating floats to the top. The wax is skimmed and strained, then ready for making candles.

Our bayberry candles are made with true bayberry wax blended with beeswax for added strength. If left in its raw form, bayberry is extremely brittle. No color or scent has been added.

New Name!

What do you think of “Hallelujah Hive”? I hope you like it. Some time in January, this will be our new official business title.

Hallelujah means “Praise the Lord”. And we say Praise the Lord for the bees and what they give us humans. The hive can be taken as a beehive or our store, which is full of the gifts from the beehive.

To order or study our natural products, our website is www.hallelujahhive.com

The Gibson Family wants to wish all of you folks a very Happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for your patronage and trust in us.

The fellowship with you folks at the markets each week brings great joy to us Gibson’s.

I know overall, in the big scope of things that it is all about Christ. But at the market, it’s about you. Thank you for your friendship.

See you at the markets,

Mark

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
