Our Healing Oils are made from a blend of complementing pure essential oils used to promote emotional, physical, and spiritual healing. Aromatherapy is the modern name given when using essential oils for healing purposes.
Almost all essential oils should be diluted before use. Some are very irritating to the skin full strength. All our Healing Oils are diluted in grapeseed oil. Never use essential oils internally without direction from your holistic doctor.
Here at Hallelujah Hive we use top quality essential oils in all our Healing Oils. Beware if a label says fragrance, aromatic oil, scented oil, or perfume, they are most likely a synthetic blend. Synthetic (manmade) fragrances do not have the same aromatherapy properties as essential oils and may contain harmful chemicals. Essential Oils come from nature.
Thieves essential oil blend was created based on the historical tale of four thieves in France who protected themselves from the black plague with cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics while robbing victims of the killer disease. When captured, they were offered a lighter sentence in exchange for their secret recipe. In modern days, these same herbs and essential oils have been found to be an effective barrier against topical and airborne microorganisms.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are highly
concentrated pure oils derived from herbs and flowers. Not all plants produce
essential oils and they are present in different quantities in different plants.
It takes about 12 lemons to produce an ounce of lemon essential oil and over
2000 pounds of rose petals to produce an ounce of rose essential oil.
One of the oldest uses of perfumes comes from the burning of incense and
aromatic herbs used in religious services, often the aromatic gums, frankincense
and myrrh, gathered from trees. The Egyptians were the first to incorporate
perfume into their culture followed by the ancient Chinese, Hindus, Israelites,
Carthaginians, Arabs, Greeks, and Romans. The earliest use of perfume bottles is
Egyptian and dates to around 1000 BC. The Egyptians invented glass and perfume
bottles were one of the first common uses for glass.
Each essential oil has unique psychological influences and medicinal properties.
Pure essential oils act upon the olfactory senses (our sense of smell) sending
direct messages to the brain. The different aromas have the ability to produce
changes in our emotions by triggering memories and the release of endorphins in
the brain. Endorphins are hormone-like chemicals that can produce gratifying
sensations, euphoria and a sense of well-being.
Many essential oils contain the healing qualities of the plant and can be used
to aid healing of cuts, wounds, burns, bacterial and fungal infections through
topical application or inhalation.
When you shop for essential oils make sure it is labeled pure essential oil. If
the label says fragrance, aromatic oil, scented oil, or perfume you are probably
buying a synthetic blend. Synthetic fragrances do not have the same aromatherapy
properties as essential oils and may contain harmful chemicals. Essential Oils
come from nature; the oils are distilled from the actual plant. Fragrance Oils
are manmade.
Almost all essential oils should be diluted before use. Some are very irritating
to the skin full strength. Never use essential oils internally without direction
from your holistic doctor.

What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the application of essential oils for therapeutic purposes. Oils may be applied to stimulate healing in both humans and animals. They may also be applied to maintain existing health, promoting wellness and optimal well-being physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The essential oils of aromatherapy are extracted from aromatic plants and herbs -- from the flower, bark, root, twig, seed, berry, rhizome or leaves -- generally through a process of steam distillation.
The History of Aromatherapy:
Essential oils are God's natural medicine and have been recognized and used by humans for over 5,000 years that we know of. Essential oils are mentioned over 500 times in the Bible and were used by Moses, Aaron, Mary and Joseph. Jesus also received and used them, teaching his disciples to anoint the sick with oil and heal them. (Mark 6:12-13).
The history of the ancient Egyptians is also rich with references of the use of aromatic herbs and essential oils. Essential oils were used to adorn their bodies, maintain health, and as part of their religious ceremonies.
Hippocrates, the father of medicine, advised his patients to take a bath and massage daily with essential oils to maintain good health.
Before the 1900s all perfumes were made from essential oils. But, when synthetic fragrances were developed around 1930, aromatherapy and the perfume industry parted company. Today only a very small number of perfumes are produced from pure essential oils.
What are the Benefits?
